cdist-type__package_upgrade_all - Upgrade all the installed packages

This cdist type allows you to upgrade all the installed packages on the target. It will automatically use the appropriate package manager.

The package manager to use. Default is determined based on the $os explorer variable. e.g. * apt for Debian * yum for Red Hat * pacman for Arch Linux

Do dist-upgrade instead of upgrade.
Allow installing new packages when used in conjunction with upgrade. This is useful if the update of an installed package requires new dependencies to be installed. Instead of holding the package back upgrade will upgrade the package and install the new dependencies. Note that upgrade with this option will never remove packages, only allow adding new ones.
Clean out the local repository of retrieved package files.

# Upgrade all the installed packages on the target
__package_upgrade_all
# Force use of a specific package manager
__package_upgrade_all --type apt
